Man and van basics

What does a man and van include?

A driver and a van, and a pair of hands to load and carry rather than just steer. We wrap the pieces that can mark, carry them down and into the van, drive across town, and unload at the other end — with a second person for the heavier loads.

How is it different from hiring a van myself?

The lifting. A self-drive hire leaves you to wrestle everything yourself; a man and van brings someone who carries with you, knows how to get a wardrobe round a tight landing, and takes responsibility for getting your things there safely.

How big a job will you take?

From a single item up to a small flat. If it grows into a full house move we will tell you and scale up the crew and the van, so you are never paying for more — or less — than the job needs.

Small, single-item & student

Will you move just one item?

Yes — a single item is a job in its own right. One sofa, bed, fridge or wardrobe, or a collection from a shop or marketplace seller, carried and delivered with no full-removal minimum.

What counts as a small move?

Anything from a few boxes up to roughly a room of things — bigger than a car-load, smaller than a full flat. Sized to the load so you pay for what is moving.

Do you do student moves?

Around every London campus — halls to a house-share, a room move, or everything home at the end of term, sized for a student load and budget. Housemates can often share a trip to keep the cost down.

Are you careful with deposits and communal areas?

Yes — student and flat housing is unforgiving about scuffs, so we wrap the furniture, mind the walls and shared stairwells, and get the awkward stuff out without leaving damage for the landlord to bill.

Coverage & booking

Which parts of London do you cover?

Every borough — north, south, east, west and central. We are one London-wide man and van rather than a single-area firm, so a cross-town move is all the same to us. See the coverage map for the detail.

Do you take parking, permits and ULEZ into account?

Yes — they are part of the plan. We know the red routes, box junctions, permit bays and the ULEZ, and sort the loading and stopping at both ends so the van is not circling on the day.

Why are there no prices on the site?

Because an honest price depends on the load, the access and the distance — a headline figure would mislead. Send the details and you will get a clear, itemised quote for your actual move, with no obligation.

Bigger & European moves

Do you do full-house moves?

We can, and we will scale up the crew and van for it — though the small and everyday stuff is our focus. For a big general London removal, our sister site leads on whole-house moves.

Do you move abroad?

We run light, van-scale part-load moves from London to France, Spain, Italy and Portugal, with the customs paperwork sorted. For a big premium international shipment, our sister international site owns that depth.

Who handles the customs paperwork after Brexit?

We do. A move to the EU needs a customs declaration and an inventory; we prepare the paperwork and guide you through what you need to provide. The international hub explains how the van-scale version works.
